  • As with all skin care procedures, avoid tanning or a sun burn for at least one week prior to service.
Micro needling post-treatment instructions-
  • Do not use anti-inflammatory medications such as Motrin, Advil or Ibuprofen as they will interfere with the natural inflammatory response that is responsible for your skin rejuvenation.
  • Avoid tanning and sun exposure for at least a week after your procedure. If you are in the sun make sure you are using a SPF of at least 30 and re-applying every hour.
  • Eat fresh pineapple to optimize healing.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise, sweating and swimming for 24 hours.
  • Treat skin gently, washing with a mild cleanser and cool water.
  • No exfoliation for three days after treatment. (Washcloths, Clarisonic brushes, scrubs, enzymes, retinols or acids)
  • Restart professional skin care after 72 hours.
  • Avoid make-up for at least 24 hours. It is best to use a mineral make-up for a week following the procedure. Clean all make-up brushes before use.
  • Avoid excessive heat such as a sauna, hot shower or even putting your face near an open oven or over boiling water while cooking.
  • Do not scratch or pick at the skin.
  • Help your skin heal by using antioxidant/skin lightening serums. Ask your skin care professional for the best one for your skin.

Airbrush Tanning

Pre-tan instructions-
  • Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! This is your most important task prior to your airbrush tanning appointment. Removal of all dead skin 24 hours prior to tanning will ensure a flawless, even tan and ensure it lasts as long as possible.
  • Shave or wax 24 hours prior to your appointment. Apply a deep moisturizer the evening before.
  • Shower the morning of your appointment. Do not apply moisturizers, deodorant or perfume after your shower as these can be barriers to the solution and cause uneven or green color.
  • Bring LOOSE, DARK clothing to wear home. Flip flops are recommended. You will dry with a fan after the tan, but the solution may remain slightly wet for about an hour. Tight clothing and socks can cause unwanted lines.
  • Most women tan nude, if you would be more comfortable with a swim suit on please feel free to bring one. Men must wear some sort of bottom during the tan.
Post-tan instructions-
  • Avoid water and sweating. Shower at four hours for a light tan, six hours for a medium tan and eight hours for a dark tan. Shower using a PH balanced shower gel.
  • Do not use drying soaps, loofahs, washcloths or exfoliants.
  • When you shave, be sure to use a sharp razor.
  • Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize with a water based moisturizer. This is the best way to keep your color.
  • Swimming and excessive sweating can pull your color out faster.
  • Make sure you have exfoliated all the color off before your next appointment.
  • Most importantly enjoy your sexy, cancer free tan!!!

Eyelash Extensions

Pre-Lash care instructions-
  • Come to your appointment with a clean, make-up free face.
  • For your initial visit, please arrive a few minutes early to fill out paperwork.
Post-Lash care instructions-
  • Avoid getting your eyes wet for the first 24 hours after your lash service; also avoid steam or heat.
  • Avoid rubbing and pulling at your lashes.
  • Avoid oil-based products used around your eyes.
  • Do not use mascara or lash curlers on lash extensions.
  • Clean your lashes every few days with a gentle, oil-free eye make-up remover.
  • Be sure to book an appointment for a fill every 2-4 weeks to keep your lashes looking full; this will also help you avoid having to pay the cost for a full set. (Lash appointments made after 4 weeks from the previous lash service is considered a full set.)

Microblading

Pre-Microblading instructions-
  • Please arrive to your appointment 10-15 minutes prior to read and fill out paperwork.
  • Do not use any blood thinners at least 24 hours prior to service.
  • Do not use Botox or fillers for at LEAST 4 weeks prior to service.
Post-Microblading instructions-
  • The first evening after having the microblading service, you will want to rinse your brows, wiping very gently with a cotton pad dipped in distilled water. Then apply a dab of the Bacitracin cream (a very thin layer) to the brows. From day 2 through day 5 dab a very thin layer of cream 2 – 4 times a day as needed (do not use the distilled water after the first day). Do not use the cream if your skin is naturally oily, just let them heal on their own. NEVER rush the healing process. DO NOT scrub, rub or pick at the epithelial crust that forms. Allow it to flake off by itself. If it is removed before it is ready, the pigment underneath it can be pulled out.
  • Do not get the brows wet (the exception is wiping the distilled water the first day) during the healing process for 14 days.
  • Do not put anything (water, makeup, lotions, ect.) but the distilled water and cream as described above on the brows for 14 days or until healed.
  • Do not sweat for 14 days- this is a hard one, but body heat expands the pores. Sweat has salt and will prematurely fade, blur or cause the pigment to take at all.
  • Stay out of the sun for 2 weeks. After the initial 2 weeks, be sure to use sunblock on the healed brows to prevent fading.
  • Do not use any RETIN-A or glycolic acids in the brow area during or after healing.
  • Do not use a tanning bed for a month… preferably, never!
  • It is recommended that you apply Vaseline to treated areas prior to swimming (even after healed) to prevent the chlorine water/salt water from penetrating the area
  • Only touch treated areas with squeaky clean hands during the healing process
  • Try not to sleep on your face for the first 10 days

Microdermabrasion

  Pre-Microdermabrasion-
  • Discontinue use of any topical medications such as Retin-A at least one week prior to service
  • If you have used Accutane you must have stopped using it at least six months prior to any skin care service
  • Avoid facial treatments such as chemical peels, facials and waxing for a week prior to your microdermabrasion appointment
  • You need to wait at least three weeks after laser treatments, Botox or fillers to have microdermabrasion done
  • No sun exposure for at least a week before your appointment
  • No exfoliation to the skin for a week before
  • Discontinue the use of at home skin care with glycolic acid, salicylic acid, retinols or enzymes at least three days before your treatment
  • If you have a history of cold sores it is recommended that you take an anti-viral for at least three days before your treatment
  • For best results use a glycolic cream such as Glymed’s Treatment Cream nightly, available at Beaute Marque, for at least two weeks prior to your treatment. Discontinue the use of it three nights prior to your appointment
Post-Microdermabrasion-
  • Avoid sun exposure for at least seven days. If you absolutely cannot avoid the sun you must use a sunblock of at least 30 SPF and re-apply every two hours while in the sun. A hat and sunglasses is also recommended. Our favorite is Glymed’s Environmental Protection Gel available at Beaute Marque Studio.
  • No exfoliation to the skin for seven days after your treatment. This includes scrubs, enzymes, acids, harsh wash cloths and waxing.
  • No chemical peels, laser treatments or facials for at least a week after your treatment
  • You may continue your Glymed Treatment Cream after three nights
  • It is possible to have a few breakouts after the treatment because any trapped bacteria will be brought to the surface. DO NOT pick or pull at the skin for at least seven days as you are more likely to pigment.
  • Keep your skin clean and moisturized.  This is a great time to use serums and high-quality moisturizers since the skin is going to absorb the product deeper than usual. If you need help finding the best products for your skin, let your provider know

Chemical Peels

 Pre-

Teeth Whitening

  Pre-Teeth Whitening-
  • If you have sensitive teeth you may want to use a toothpaste for tooth sensitivity for two weeks prior to your appointment. There is a mineral desensitizer that you can purchase for only $15 at your appointment to help with sensitivity. It is also good for home use to restore depleted minerals to the teeth.
  • Make sure you have no cavities, the application of the whitening gel to cavities will send small shock like pains into the tooth
Post-Teeth Whitening-
  • No food or drink for one hour after your treatment
  • Follow the white food diet for 24 hours to avoid re staining the teeth
  • Your results will last months longer if you avoid smoking, teeth staining foods and drinks
  • Avoid acidic and extremely hot or cold food and drinks as these allow stains to penetrate enamel
  • Use smudge free lipstick such as LipSense
  • Use Minerals Enamel Booster to seal in results and lock out stains. Use the One-Year Smile Maintenance Kit once a month and/or use a Forever White™ Pen to touch-up your smile as needed.

Infrared Sauna

 Pre-Infrared Sauna-
  • Drink at least 16 ounces of water prior to your appointment, drink water during your session. It is important to stay hydrated
  • You are in the sauna alone and may wear whatever you chose. Infrared waves do penetrate through light clothes such as a cotton t-shirt and shorts or swimsuit.
  • It is best not to have any creams or lotions on the skin
  • If you take any prescription drugs you should ask your doctor if the infrared sauna is a contraindication
  • Eat at least two hours prior to your sauna visit
Post-Infrared Sauna-
  • Drink at least 16 ounces of water immediately after your exit the spa
  • Headaches, muscle soreness, slight nausea and fatigue may occur due to the toxins being released, drinking water and stretching can help alleviate these symptoms
  • Massage or a detoxifying body wrap is the perfect service to do after your sauna session to flush the toxins to the lymphatic system and out of the body faster.

Detoxifying/Inch-loss Body Wrap

 Pre-Wrap-
  • Drink at least 16 ounces of water
  • Eat at least two hours prior to your treatment
  • Do not shave the same day as your treatment
  • Do not apply lotions or creams to the skin prior to your appointment
  • Bring a swimsuit or bra and underwear for the service
  • If you have allergies to niacin, cinnamon or pineapples this is not a good treatment for you
Post-Wrap-
  • Don’t shower for eight hours
  • Working out and/or getting a massage after your wrap will give optimum results
  • Drink at least 16 ounces of water immediately after your treatment
  • Using the maintenance cream at home will continue detoxification and inch loss
  • Do not drink alcohol for three days after your treatment
  • If you are using this in conjunction with a weight loss program a wrap for every five pounds lost is ideal for skin tightening
