When you are getting ready for a night on the town, vacation, wedding, birthday or any other special occasion what do we all want to do to get ready? Maybe a new cut or color? Probably. New nails or lashes? Maybe. New outfit? Almost always. Beautiful, healthy tan skin? Of course! Natural looking bronze skin has been in style for over a century and it’s not going away anytime soon.
No experience or licence needed, start a career in the beauty industry without years of schooling
As more and more proof comes out about the hazards of the sun and its UV radiation, people are becoming more cautious about getting tan. Did you know that there is no such thing as a “healthy sun tan”? A lot of people think that as long as they don’t burn they are in the safe zone, not so! Any color change in the skin is a defensive mechanism, and more importantly, it’s damage!
As more people learn this harsh truth, the sunless tanning industry continues to increase in demand. Most cities charge anywhere from $25-$60 for a full body airbrush tan. In Salt Lake City, there are very few professionals who do this service by hand. Most people are forced to go to the booths, which for me was a traumatizing experience that had me seeing orange the one time I made that mistake.
Start a career in a fast-growing industry that helps keep people healthy by spreading the word about the dangers of the non-existent “healthy sun tan” and offering people a beautiful, easy, safe alternative. When I began my career in the beauty industry in 1999, airbrush tanning hadn’t even hit Utah yet. In 2004, I had a skin cancer scare, a large portion of the skin on my right breast was removed because it had a suspicious lesion on it. Thankfully, it was benign, still, from this point on I became the sunblock queen.
In 2006 I had my first custom, hand done, airbrush tan and I loved it. After a few services, I realized that I wanted to offer this to my friends, family and clients. I offered the woman money to teach me but she wasn’t interested in creating competition. (I never understood that concept considering we live in a large state that is number two for plastic surgery, it’s safe to say we live in a state that cares what they look like. Think about how many cosmetologists we have in Salt Lake City alone who stay very busy). In any case, I went to work researching the topic and trying to find someone who taught classes. I was able to find two companies that offered training for spray tans, one in New York and one in California.
Today is a much different story, there are a lot of options all over the country(still not many in Utah).
The difference that you will find between most of those options and Beaute Marque Academy is that we aren’t training to sell you our product. I offer continued support not only for the service itself but business mentoring as well.
I have used several different machines and over ten types of solution in my years as a spray tanning technician. I want to share with you all that I have learned, mistakes I have made and the least expensive way to give a high quality, affordable tan, and make good money doing it.
Our full day (eight-hour) training will cover;
